Funny, yesterday I was thinking about making a hat for a baby. A baby who will be 16 months old when I see her. The hat pattern I’m in love with is in the book Not Your Mama’s Crochet. (I’m also in love with this book.)

Bev’s got sizing charts at Bev’s Country Cottage. I’m so excited! Now I can make that hat! And make it the right size! Enjoy!

We aim to become the central resource on the web for all the patterns, tutorials, and experiences that we write to help our fellow crafters. Pink

April 16, 1997 – February 9, 2007

What can I say about Pink? The moments I will cherish about our big black and white cat are the times when he would let me pick him up and hold him; mornings when he was feeling a little more affectionate; the purring and weaving in and about my ankles in the morning as if to say, “Feed me my stinky food!” (that’s soft food); me on the computer with Denver in my lap and Bandit and Pink on the floor behind me; the high fives; Pink playing with his “babies”; Pink moping after Beau (mom’s dog) went home after a visit; Pink lying on his back like he was lounging - chilling; his pink nose and bright pink toes; his really cute face and the way he would come when you called him. Pink was getting used to having Bandit around and the two of them would lie nose to nose in the living room with us. While it has been a tough few years with Pink, he was my boy and I love him and will miss him very much. I hope he really is in a better place now, pain free and chasing mice and playing with Beau.

The vet was wonderful and gave us a pawprint impression of Pink which we both are  happy to have. We also received a bouquet of flowers from our vet. So sweet. It’s been tough, I’m not ready for a lot of things just yet, but I’m sure in the coming days it’ll be easier. The initial loss is difficult and having to console two other animals makes me very sad. I’m sure we’ll all adjust, in time. For now, I’m laying a little low.
