Father and son sock monkey sets! I made the scarf for a toddler. If you want a longer child's scarf, then you will  need another ball of the denim style.

Yarn: Bernat Denim Style in brown x 4 balls, 1 ball of some cream wool from my stash and some leftover burgundy and black
Hook:

Sock Monkey Matching Scarves

Child's Scarf: Approx. 6 3/4" wide x 48" long
Adult's Scarf: Approx. 8 3/4" wide x 65" long

Child's Scarf:
With burgundy, chain 25.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 2. Turn.
Row 2: Dc in each dc across (Ch 2 does not count as a dc) Switch to cream. Ch 2. Turn.
Do 3 dc rows of the cream. Then switch to denim style and work for approx.42 inches.
Switch to cream. Work 3 rows of cream.
Work 2 rows of burgundy.
Finish off. Weave in ends.

Adult's Scarf
With burgundy, chain 30.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in ch across. Ch 2. Turn.
Row 2: Dc in each dc across (Ch 2 does not count as a dc). Switch to cream. Ch 2. Turn.
Do 4 dc rows of the cream. Switch to denim style and work for approx. 59 inches.
Work 4 rows of cream.
Work 2 rows of burgundy.
Finish off. Weave in ends.
