The garage sale was a success! It's all gone. Sunday, we took a full truckload to Goodwill. We made lots of money! Afterwards, I was walking through the house and realized that we have so much more still to get rid of. Oh well. Maybe next year we'll have a smaller garage sale (not so labour intensive for me!). Fun! Things people are looking to buy: old coins, vinyl, cassette tapes (go figure) and turntables.

IS happening this Sat. Aug. 27. Although it is calling for rain, I'm hoping that Mother Nature is on our side and holds off until 3pm for the showers. That would be nice! Up for grabs: 90 gal fish tank with all acoutrements, smaller tank with filter, pump and some other items, luggage, bags, roller blades, clothes, a desk (we bought a new one!), a wall unit, king size bed with night tables, double size bed with 6 storage drawers in the base, dishes, kitchen items, pictures, linens, crafty items, a living room chair (vintage)... and so much more! This Sat. Let's say 8:30 - 2. :) Ross is also destashing so I'm sure there will be plenty for the men! Thursday, August 18

An amazing family. Dad, Mom and 2 daughters all knit. It's a beautiful thing. Visit them at lusciousgracious.com. I found the trip both moving and inspiring!

I'm thinking of making this "Big Teacup" Tea bag holder for the big Christmas party at work. I actually get two parties every year. I thought this one would be fun!

Got kids? Got Lego in the house? Why not make a ball winder? I think this is genius! Hubby would even WANT to make me one! (although, I already have the Brother.) If you have some Knex leftover from childhood (did they have this in Canada? Or was I just too much of a girlie girl to notice?) If you have Knex, you can make this lovely yarn swift! And, I might add that Craftster is my new best friend ;) Friday, August 12
